Pat Summit had one son named Tyler Summitt. He was born in 1990, and was the only child of Pat Summit and her ex-husband, R.B. Summitt. Tyler was raised in a family that was heavily involved in basketball, and he spent much of his childhood around the court. He played basketball at the University of Tennessee, where his mother was the head coach, and he later worked as an assistant coach at Louisiana Tech University. In 2016, Tyler became the head coach of the Louisiana Tech women's basketball team. Unfortunately, he was let go from this position after just two seasons, due to allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a team member.
